Tazarotene is a designer retinoid. It is similar of vitamin A. It is approved by Health Canada as a treatment of acne and photodamage although the majority of its use is for acne and photodamage, similar to the other retinoids. It is used by the patient to get remove from acne. It is used in the whole area affected by acne.

After buying this topical product, the patient should apply them to the entire area where they have acne. By this way they will be able to treat small microscopic blemishes that are not visible to them. They must use this product regularly. They will need to continue these products regularly on the skin. They also use the products continuously before any significant change is seen or before any improvement take place.

There must be keep concentration to make the skin dry when applying the medication. It is used normally once or twice in a day under the direction of the doctor. It is stable to the sunlight and can be used at day time. When patients are pregnant they should not use it at all. The improvement will be noticed within 8-12weeks. It reduces inflammation. It can work against black heads and whiteheads of acnes. There are some side effects also of this medication. But some experts suggest that it is less irritating than other retinoid. Patients may experience burning and redness on their skin as well as some drying. Their acne may flare before it starts to improve and their skin will be more sensitive to sun, wind and cold. These side effects can be reduced by applying small quantity; skin must be dry before medication is used, by using gentle skin cleanser, by using light skin moistures and by using sunscreen. It works best in combination with other therapies, usually topical corticosteroids.

There is no hard and fast rule to use this medication. But if one wants to use it combined with other medicine he must consult his doctor first. Otherwise serious side effects can be resulted which is not expected to anybody.
