Other Hormone Therapy's Progestins' Influence On Acne

|
Acne occurs on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and sometimes on the upper arms. It is like pimples or deep lumps. All aged people are affected by it but most of the case the common face for acne is the teenagers. It is easily identifiable from the presence of the spot. The affect of acne is not life threatening condition but it can make a people upset for his face. Sometimes the acne get severe and it can create permanent scarring. Scars are like spot. But sometimes the spot cannot be called scars. When it will create a permanent change then the spot will be called scars. The spots are sometimes invisible and can be visible after some days and can create discomfiture.

One who suffers from acne he has extensive emotional distress for this. But there is a scope for treatment of acne so that one can tackle the problem.
Acnes are of different types. So, the treatment of acne varies. One must consult a doctor for the treatment. He will examine the skin and then he will give the type of treatment procedure that requires for the skin. Various types of treatment are needed for acne. There are home treatment process, prescribed medicine treatment, tropical treatments and oral treatment.

Another way of looking at acne hormone therapy is to arrange them according to the effects that the progestins that are used will have on acne. This method is not accepted by all as a worthwhile classification for acne, as the effect of estrogen may over ride the progestin effect for most of the pills.

Cyproterone acetate, found in Diane-35® seems to be an exception in that it is not affected by estrogen. It will have an influence on the oil glands in the skin, and therefore on acne. For acne, we want hormone therapy that inhibits the influence of the male type hormones (androgens/testosterone). In reality the beneficial effects of estrogen may outweigh the negative effects of the progestins that affect male hormones.
